'Ohiti Estate' Sauvignon Blanc 2019

Fresh passion-fruit, gooseberry, melon and lime best describe the 2019 ‘Ohiti Estate’ Sauvignon Blanc. The hot vintage ensured that ripeness was readily achieved, and the wine reflects the season. The 2019 Sauvignon Blanc is a light straw colour with a firm alcohol and made in a dry style. This ‘Ohiti Estate’ Sauvignon Blanc is typically Hawke’s Bay in style with its ripe generous flavours and lingering finish - it is a delight!Cellaring:

'Fiesta' Rosé 2020

The 2020 ‘Fiesta’ Rosé is a celebration for the senses - Fiesta is a derivative of feast / festival. It is synonymous with the enjoyment of wine and food. The 2020 ‘Fiesta’ Rose is an enticing light salmon pink colour which is full of ripe strawberries and rose petal flavours with a hint of peach. While it is dry (4g/L residual sugar), it is equally luscious on the palate and ideal for any festive occasion.Cellaring:

'Robertson' Pinot Gris 2020

The 2020 Robertson Pinot Gris has classic Nashi pear, white peach and lychee with a touch of ginger. The palate has good length, thus endorsing its universality as a wine. It is made in a nearly dry style (4g/L residual sugar), hence it is an excellent food wine - enjoy.Cellaring:

'Bergman' Chardonnay 2019

The wild yeast fermentation has brought another dimension to this 2019 ‘Bergman’ Chardonnay. There appears to be more depth and complexity on the palate. The wine is showcasing ripe stone-fruits, melon, oak and vanilla characters are evident in this full-bodied 2019 ‘Bergman’ Chardonnay. 'Marshall Bank' Chardonnay 2019

The 'Marshall Bank' Chardonnay grapes were grown at Ohiti Estate. 'Marshall Bank' was an old family property in west Otago where Dr. Bill Robertson practiced for 45 years.
Already expressing an inviting bouquet, the 2019 ‘Marshall Bank’ Chardonnay exudes ripe peaches, nectarines and spiced brioche are all nicely woven with well-integrated oak notes which all carry through onto the layered and vibrant palate. The partial malolactic fermentation has broadened the mid palate and added to its complexity and elegance resulting in a pleasingly long lingering finish.Cellaring:
Approachable now and will age well for another 5 years.

'Burnfoot' Merlot 2016

The 2016 ‘Burnfoot’ Merlot exhibits bold plums, oak, wild herbs & spice which is under pinned by firm alcohol. Due to the vineyard’s northerly aspect and not being irrigated, there is a concentration of flavours. Vibrance is the hallmark of the 2016 ‘Burnfoot’ Merlot - the flavours will evolve for many years.- it was another good vintage for Merlot in the Tuki Tuki Valley. This 2016 ‘Burnfoot’ Merlot has a well-integrated and balanced palate, making it approachable and enjoyable now.Cellaring:

'Back Block' Syrah 2019
Varietal:100% Syrah Region:Hawke's Bay Volume:750mlTasting Note:
The 2019 ‘Back Block’ Syrah shouts ripe plums, black cherries, spice and a dash of black pepper. The mid palate is bountiful in fruit and supported by the well-integrated and seamless oak. Due to the excellent vintage in Hawkes Bay, the Syrah grapes were left on the vine until the 5th April, hence the ripe savoury flavours and low acidity. The 2019 ‘Back Block’ Syrah is very approachable, but equally will continue to develop in the bottle. This 2019 ‘Back Block’ Syrah - another addition to the legacy.Cellaring:

'Sun-Dried' Malbec 2019

Intensely dark, this ‘Sun-Dried’ Malbec shouts dark fruits, ripe plums, dried herbs, spice, cigar box, and earthy tannins all perfectly supported by the oak. This wine has an enticing mouthfeel due to the weight and fullness on the palate. This 2019 follows its illustrious predecessors with aplomb. Once again Malbec on steroids comes to mind. This wine is generous in all departments, the 2019 ‘Sun-Dried’ Malbec is worthy of time in the cellar if discipline can prevail! 'Hillside' Syrah 2018

The ‘Hillside’ Syrah is an expression of where it is grown. An intense dark red colour and fragrant - showcasing Damson plums, blackcurrants, black-pepper, leather, French oak and ripe supple tannins engage across your palate. It is made largely from the 470 clone of Syrah which is renowned for its colour and concentration and responds well when aged in new French oak barriques. This ‘Hillside’ Syrah is elegantly balanced and is seamlessly majestic - cellaring will reward those with patience.

'Reserve' Cabernet / Merlot 2018
Varietals:Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot & Cabernet Franc. Region:Hawke's Bay Volume:750mlTasting Note:
Framed in new French oak, the 2018 ‘Gold Label’ Cabernet / Merlot is robust and fruit driven. Showcasing black fruits, dried herbs, spice, leather and sweet berries are evident. New French oak has structured the wine classically. The 2018 ‘Gold label’ celebrates the return of Cabernet Franc (5%) to the blend. The last vintage to have Cabernet Franc was 1998 (a great year and still youthful). It is complex with layers of flavours and will certainly reward cellaring.
