Viognier is a shy bearing grape variety, Jancis Robinson MW once described Viogniers cropping as capricious, and many acres had been pulled out as a result. The grapes for the Milestone were sourced from Ohiti Estate and the Hillside Vineyard.

Tasting Note:
Due to the high sugar levels at harvest the Milestone Viognier has a firm alcohol, rich mineral and stone-fruit flavours. Barrel fermenting the Hillside portion has created a mid palate fullness, while retention of the aromatic notes has been achieved by tank fermentation of the juice from the Ohiti grapes.
