Hand picked Merlot arrived at the winery on the 16th April 2006 and was destemmed / crushed into stainless steel tanks. Equally handpicked Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested on the 24th April. Aged in new French oak, here the wine remained for 18 months.

Tasting Note:
The 2007 Gold Label Cabernet Merlot is a celestial experience. Fragrant cassis and wild blackberry generate a heavenly bouquet. Enriched berry, spice and leather form a galaxy of layered flavours on the mid palate. Ripeness of fruit and time in new oak are its stellar components. Aging will reward the 07 Gold Label, ten years will have it drinking beautifully, but yes, there will be more - be patient.
